Seamless Floor in The Hague
seamless, in your colour, for years.
Our showroom is located in The Hague-Ypenburg (Laan van 's-Gravenmade 42L). From here we work throughout The Hague — from the sleek new-build developments at Binckhorst to listed properties in Statenkwartier. Two product lines: microcement for walls & furniture, Lavasteen Seamless Floor for floors in wet rooms and living areas.
What we do here — by neighbourhood
Statenkwartier & Benoordenhout — listed properties
The Hague townhouses around Statenlaan and Wassenaarseweg call for subtle colours that don't clash with existing plasterwork. Microcement walls in soft tones (Pearl, Sand 1, Lavender Grey 1) are popular here — for bathrooms and small bespoke furniture pieces. Important: in 1930s properties we pay extra attention to floor build-up, as anhydrite screed is not always feasible with warping timber joists.
Scheveningen & Kijkduin — coastal influence
Close to the sea means higher humidity in bathrooms + the influence of salt on door and frame usage. Here we consistently recommend 3 layers of PU topcoat instead of the standard 2 — provides longer service life and a more robust water barrier. In seafront apartments we more frequently encounter shrinkage cracks in subfloors due to temperature fluctuations; we resolve this with an additional elastic primer layer.
Centre, Voorhout & Zeeheldenkwartier — renovation over tiles
In The Hague's old city centre we often work directly over existing tiles — saves demolition costs and waste disposal, and fits within listed-building requirements (no demolition = often no application needed). Using bonding primer we apply our layers without needing to remove the old tiles. Two to three days' work, no dust, no noise. Particularly recommended in apartments on het Plein, Hoge Nieuwstraat and the Hofvijver.
Bezuidenhout, Mariahoeve & Loosduinen — 1930s/60s housing
Here we often find old concrete or cement screeds with hairline cracks from subsidence. We check with a moisture meter (max. 2% for cement screeds) and level irregularities ≥3 mm. In Bezuidenhout we also encounter mastic asphalt subfloors in kitchens — we don't work over those, they must be removed first.
Ypenburg, Wateringse Veld & Leidschenveen — new-build & recent properties
Our own neighbourhood — predominantly new-build with anhydrite screed, ideal for our finish. Underfloor heating is almost always installed here — our 1–2 mm thin build-up conducts heat rapidly. In rental properties we can sometimes work directly over the standard tiles without costly removal upon handover.

How does a Hague project work?
- Consultation — at your home (free within The Hague) or in our showroom in Ypenburg. We inspect the space, substrate and listen to your requirements. For listed buildings we review any restrictions in advance.
- Colour samples — order up to 3 free samples to assess in your own light conditions. For Scheveningen sea-light this is particularly important — every shade appears subtly different there.
- Tailored quotation — within 1 working day, with clear pricing breakdown per m².
- Preparation — primer, possible levelling (in Statenkwartier often for crack repair). Tiles are usually no problem.
- Application — 2 coats base layer + finish layer + PU topcoat (2 coats standard, 3 for Scheveningen). Touch-dry within 24 hours, fully cured in 7 days.
- Handover — walk-through together, maintenance tips, warranty information.
Questions we often hear in The Hague
How much does a seamless floor cost in The Hague?
For DIY kits we start at € 155 per 5 m² bucket of microcement, or € 235 per 5 m² bucket of Lavasteen Seamless Floor. For professional installation we typically charge € 90–150 per m² depending on substrate, colour and surface area. In The Hague we do not charge travel costs for projects within the city.
Do you also work in listed buildings?
Yes, regularly — in the Statenkwartier, Centre and around the Hofvijver. Our technique works directly over existing tiles without demolition, which often fits within monument regulations (no demolition = often no application required with The Hague municipality). If in doubt: ask our adviser first, so we can coordinate the project properly in advance.
Is a seamless floor suitable for The Hague's coastal climate?
Absolutely. Our Lavasteen Seamless Floor is inherently waterproof (epoxy-based), so ideal in Scheveningen, Kijkduin and the Vogelwijk where the sea air brings more moisture. For extra assurance we recommend 3 layers of PU topcoat here instead of the standard 2.
How long does a project typically take in The Hague?
For a bathroom (5–10 m²): 3–4 working days incl. drying time. For a living room (25–40 m²): 4–5 working days. We always coordinate with your other tradespeople (plumber, tiler) to minimise downtime — especially useful if you cannot temporarily spare the WC in a Voorhout flat.
Do you visit The Hague for site surveys?
Yes, free of charge within The Hague and immediate surroundings (Voorburg, Rijswijk, Delft, Wassenaar). We usually schedule within 3–5 working days, and for larger projects we bring both the adviser and an applicator so we can answer technical questions about your specific substrate directly.
Can I collect colour samples at the showroom?
