What is a Lavasteen Seamless Floor?
Lavasteen Seamless Floor is a 2-component system based on concrete stucco and epoxy: an A-component (base mass with pigment) and a B-component (epoxy hardener).
After mixing, you get a firm, trowelable paste. You pour it out and spread it with a trowel. This gives you maximum control over texture, nuance and movement. Unlike a traditional epoxy resin floor — which self-levels — you direct the concrete look.

Self-application – steps
- Preparation – substrate must be stable, clean and level; use primer where required.
- Mixing – stir component A until homogeneous; add the weighed component B and mix for 2–3 minutes.
- First coat – apply thinly and tightly with a trowel; remove tape; allow to dry for at least 24 hours.
- Second coat – choose: smooth and calm or with subtle movement; lightly mist and distribute the "slip layer" with a flexible trowel for extra nuance.
- Curing & sanding – approx. 24 hours curing time; sand with grit 80 (short = anti-slip, longer = smoother).
- PU topcoat – protects against yellowing and makes maintenance easier; multiple layers can be applied if desired.
Comparison with other finishes
- Lavasteen Seamless Floor (Hazel) – applied manually with trowel; matte concrete look; extremely hard, scratch-resistant and fully waterproof; ideal for floor & wall and suitable for residential properties, new builds and underfloor heating.
- Traditional Beton Ciré / microcement – cement-based; less wear-resistant and only waterproof with additional PU layer.
